Notice: Forms of Participating in The VPBank Hanoi Marathon ASEAN 2020

In recent days, the good news about Hoan Kiem Lake Pedestrian Street being officially reopened, Hanoi in particular and nearly all provinces in Vietnam returning to a “new normal” state have excited Vietnamese people, especially runners of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon ASEAN 2020, which has been selected as one of the cultural and sport events in the framework of celebrating the year Vietnam takes the role of ASEAN Chairmanship  2020.

With the theme “Cohesive and Responsive”, the marathon will be held on the scale of a regional sporting event, making it an opportunity to promote the image and enhance the role of Vietnam in ASEAN as well as the international community.

In compliance with the government's rules on “new normal”, ensuring safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon ASEAN 2020 will be organized by combining online and offline race. The changes as well as the plans are put forward with the sole target to ensure safety for runners. The Race Organizing Committee (ROC) has been doing its best to bring the most memorable marathon to Vietnam's running community with an unforgettable experience when striding to meet the dawn, the gentle and pure morning sunlight of Hanoi's autumn.

The marathon’s ROC would like to advise of the following adjustments to the race hosting plan. At the same time the ROC has also sent an email to all the participating runners, asking to choose one of the options to join the 2020 marathon by filling in the registration form at the link before 23:59:00 on Sept 28, 2020. Passing this deadline means the ROC will automatically place the runner's slot as joining the “OFFICIAL MARATHON AT HANOI'S HOAN KIEM LAKE”.

The race is officially held on October 18, including four categories (42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 5 km) with the starting point at Hoan Kiem Lake for Hanoi-based runners and those able to move to Hanoi for the competition.

Start time:
